ILSA was founded in 1979, when it began producing special semi-finished products
on third parties’ designs.
In 1981, it entered the domestic market with its own line of furniture for
pastry shops, bakeries and ice cream shops. The new business continued to
feature what was basically a craftsman’s business structure.
In 1989, the merger with other synergic local business concerns led to the
founding of ILSA spa, located in its current plant in San Fior (TV), in an area
of roughly 5000 m2. Substantial investments in new technologies
allowed the creation of refrigerated tables and display cases. These new
products brought the company onto the domestic and European dining and pizzeria
market.
In 1995, the company underwent an extensive corporate re-engineering process
aimed at increasing competitiveness, thanks also to a new quality control
system.
In 1996, the line of cold products was expanded with the addition of a new range
of refrigerated cabinets. The originality of design was rewarded in 1998 with a
prestigious Honourable Mention of the Golden Compass. The company then
began expanding into Far East markets.
Plant extensions in 1999 brought the total area to stand at 9000 m2.
The range of products for food conservation was completed with a line of blast
chillers/shoc freezers. A spacious area was set aside for use as a laboratory.
The enhancement of the commercial organization was in step with new client
needs.
In 2003, to comply with energy savings policies which had come into o effect in
a number of countries, ILSA created a new range of refrigerated cabinets. In
the meantime, it also complete the line of blast chillers/shock freezer with
the introduction of machines especially designed for ice cream shops. As proof
of constant investment in research and development, a new neutral range was
introduced for the Host 2003 exhibition. The main innovation consists of a
patented joint which reduces installation times and costs.
2004 saw the inauguration of the new ILSA showroom, which is available for
events such as staff training and practical demonstrations for professionals.
ILSA’s future commitments lie in the improvement of products and services
through constant research activity. The objective the fullest customer
satisfaction by always providing “The Quality Solution”.
