When is it best to use static refrigeration and when is it best to use ventilated refrigeration?

Static refrigeration is best when you want to preserve fresh foods for which forced air circulation inside the chilled compartment is not recommended. For precooked, packed foods, beverages and all fresh food produce, ventilated models can be used. In both cases however, the preservation period is rather limited.
